Here\’s another shot of Lake Conjola, NSW. A road trip during the Christmas New Year holiday 2014. It was a cloudy and I was out looking for a perfect sunset but the sun didn\’t turn up. I was disappointed but that is the challenge of landscape photography.
Anyway I knew that I want to convert these photos to black and white. One black and white rule is if there lack of colour convert to black and white. So if there was a cloudy day, that\’s the perfect time for black and white photography.
I bracket my shots and have 3 shots for future if I want to do HDR. But I only convert the 2+ exposure as the water is smoother with a longer exposure and get the sense of calmness in my photo. I also using local adjustment in Lightroom to make adjustment as well. Envision in the field is one step to a good photograph then you have to make it better in the \”light room\” in the 21st century.
