Coonamble Rodeo Festival 2014 Central NSW, Australia

Have you ever photograph a rodeo? Let me assure you it is fun. There was plenty of actions to shoot. If you are into sports photography you\’re going to love it. This particular road trip, our end goal was at the Coonamble Rodeo Festival. A Queen\’s Birthday long weekend in the sleepy country town of Coonamble where the population quadruple for one weekend.

What was the most memorable moments during the festival? There was a horse that died on the day. That shook everyone that came to the rodeo for the first time and it certainly shook me up. I was having  a great time before the episode and after the episode my energy and enthusiasm about the sport of rodeo dropped significantly. It was an accident but it did happen in the kind of sports.

The other memorable moment was probably the charm of the country cowgirls. If I stay in the country for longer I probably fall in love with one of charms in the country. There was a kind raw innocent about them that I enjoyed considerably. Some are camera shy as well so use a telephoto if you going to photograph them. 🙂 and it certainly more flattering to a female. Check out the only photo that I have left of one of them.
