I was passing by and have to revisited Rainbow Beach again. I joined the tour to Fraser Island last year and it was wonderful. Since I was on a tour the time for yourself is limited. And I usually photograph my subject in good lights. So sunrise or sunset. I just missed sunset.
I spend one night sleeping in my car at this location. Not next to the beach as it was prohibited. I went to the national park near by, my car was stuck in the sand. You definitely need a Four Wheel Drive if you want to explore Fraser Island and the surrounding National Parks. Luckily for me someone gave me a hand and I was out of the sand.
