After seeing the footages from the Panasonic GH4 auto focus test I was really impressed. So I tried to do similar test with a more challenging settings for the GH4. And the results, NO more hunting around.
If you simply do headshot or talking head like the above photo and it was on a 25mm which is 50mm in full frame term on my Lumix 12-35mm f2.8 lens. Conclusion just simply use the FACE/EYE detection and the GH4 will do the job for you.
No more hunting around with the contrast continuous auto focus with the latest 2.7 firmware update. So if you looking for a beast of a camera with a reliable auto focus system that can do 4k video really well then you can not beat the GH4 at this price point.
