I have not post any thing for a while let’s get back to it with something different today. My two passion is time lapse photography and travel. Today I’m just sharing my concept of one light back pack for world travel.
If you’re a season travel warrior then this post is not for you. My aim is to target new backpackers. Yes you can explore the world with just one light small pack but there would have to be some compromised must be taken.
Merino wool is the attire of choice for you from now on. Yes I know it is more expensive than most material on the market. But if you consider long term benefit you thanks me for the rest of your travelling career.
Packing is very personal thing, but aim to reduce everything down under 7kg or 15 pounds for carry on back pack and you be a more happier traveller. There’s so much going on with travelling and the last thing you want to worry about it lost baggage. Mimimise this risk by simply have what ever you need right at hand.
The other benefit ofcourse is no checked baggage fees. Yes if you consider the savings then merino wool in the long run could save you thousand. But it just the initial investment that hurts the most. I did it gradually so I could have the majority of my wardrobe converted to merino wool.
My idea is if I could pack my bag and be on an plane travelling somewhere, what would I bring? And the plane is waiting for me in 3 hours. Do this as an exercise and you be surprised that you didn’t prepare for it well enough. Check out my video below where I go through the process of one light back pack travel on a whim.
